It is good to have them on hand in case you need one even though one blade last a while. The blades are reasonable price. They are easy to replace you push down on the button that’s on top of the housing and then your pull the blade rest of the way out. After you take the old blade out you just slide the new one in it housing. Your replacement blades come in a package of two so it might be an idea to know where you want to store your second one after you open the package. The blades do come protected so you won’t get hurt when you open the package.

Essential for the cricut machine. These blades last a long time and are very easy to replace. I usually change mine when I notice that the cuts aren't as crisp as they should be....usually after I'm guessing a hundred to two hundred cuts. I've had my machine for almost two years and use it at least a couple times a week. I've only changed my blades 3 times.

I have only had to replace my blade once and was surprised how easy it was to install. Not only are they easy to work with but they are inexpensive to purchase. I was very pleased with my experience.
