Begin with a sheet of French Roast brown cardstock by Core'dinations ColorCore Cardstock. Sand the edges with a sanding block or sand paper. The lighter brown core is a perfect match for kraft paper. Once the sanding is done, cut a sheet of kraft paper to 11x11 and attach it with a tape runner, centered in the middle. This will give you a 1/2 inch border.

Since you attached the kraft paper with a tape runner, this will hold the paper in place while you run your sewing machine around the perimeter. Use a deep brown thread. Try to keep your sewing to a 1/8 inch border.

Cut four strips from the Soup Staples, each measuring 2 2 1/2 inch by 10 1/2 inch. Attach the strips with 1/8 inch between them and 3/8 inch from the edge of the kraft paper. The attached Sure Cuts A Lot files will allow you to cut:
-one zig-zag circle and Thankful out of French Roast brown cardstock
-one family out of kraft paper
-one circle out of grid paper

Using a Xyron Sticker maker, if you have one, run the family through to apply adhesive to the back. If not, use a glue pen. Mount the family to the grid paper circle. Ink the edges of the grid circle with Timber Brown ink by Tsukineko. Lightly sand the edges of the zig-zag circle. Attach the family section to the brown zig-zag circle with foam layering tape.

Print off photos that measure 2 by 3 1/8 inch. I used a sepia or antique photo effect. Ink the edges of each photo with Timber Brown ink by Tsukineko. Mount your photos onto white mats. I used remaining photo paper but you could also use white cardstock. The mounting paper should measure 2 1/4 inches by 3 1/2 inches.
Have each person tell you what they are thankful for. I used Teletype font which I downloaded for free off the internet. I printed onto the grid paper and then trimmed each journaling box to meaure 2 1/4 inches by 2 7/8 inches.
Attach photos so that they are 2 1/4 inches down from the top of the brown cardstock and centered in the middle of each Soup Staple strip of patterned paper.
Attach the journaling boxes so that they are 1 1/4 inch up from the bottom of the brown cardstock and centered in the middle of each Soup Staples strip of patterned paper.

On the back of each of the letters spelling Thankful, attach foam layering tape. Try to avoid putting foam layering tape in the area 1/2 inch up from the bottom of each letter.
Take the yard of natural twine and place it on across the page. Attach the letters over top of the twine, approximately 1/4 inch up from the journaling boxes.
When all letters are attached, attach a red heart punched from red cardstock between the u and l of thankful. Tie a bow with the twine over the heart. Trim any excess twine, allowing for 3 to 4 inches of trail off the bow.
