When I saw the Quickutz magnet sheets I thought it would be fun to have some magnetic paper dolls for the kids! They were so excited to get to pick out the outfits for their paper dolls for this project.
I also had this idea about using the gel pen holders to draw the faces onto the paper dolls, I love how they turned out! I did make a cut file for this so that everything lines up.
Being I wanted to make sure that I cut all the way through the magnetic material rather then the adhesive cover, I flipped all of the magnetic shapes and put the adhesive cover face down. You may need to tape on the corners to make sure it doesn't slip. I used the deep cut blade on 6, the pressure on max, and the speed on medium. I chose multi cut 3, which worked perfectly.

I then lined up my scraps of paper on my mat for cutting. I cut first, then carefully removed the blade, and without removing the housing (make sure you do not move the blade assembly as your cuts won't line up), I added the gel pen holder and drew the details. I did this for both sets of cuts.

I then added my die cuts to the adhesive side of the magnet. Being that the magnet material is not that strong, I had to add some of the scraps I had left over to the paper dolls under where the clothes would be so they wouldn't be visible.

I just love googly eyes, so I used those for the eyes on my paper dolls. As you can see there are extra sets of heads, clothes, shoes and even pajamas! The kids are having so much fun with them on the fridge! I'm sure I will be adding to their clothing collection as they are playing with them right now!
You can download the cut file for this at the bottom of the page.
